Nelumbo Studios Tarafından Gerçekleştirilen Gelişmekte Olan Sanatçı Programı
Nelumbo Studios tarafından gerçekleştirilen, gelişmekte olan sanatçı programı The Green Lotus, yeni bir enerjiyle ve gelecek nesil yaratıcı seslere açık bir davetle geri dönüyor. Program, sanatsal büyümeyi beslemeye devam ediyor ve gelişmekte olan sanatçılara mekanı kendi vizyonlarıyla tamamen dönüştürme fırsatı sunuyor. Lotus çiçeği gibi, günümüzün yaratıcı dünyasında yol alarak gelişmekte olan sanatçılığın gerektirdiği sebat ve cesareti tanıyoruz. Nelumbo Studios, bilinen tüm kısıtlamalardan özgürleşerek, deneme yapmak için zaman ve alan, beklenen sınırların ötesine geçmek için destek sunuyor.
İkinci Çiçeklenme: Gelişmekte Olan Küratör Programı
İkinci Çiçeklenme ile programın ekolojisini genişletiyor ve Gelişmekte Olan Küratör Programını hayata geçiriyoruz. Bu yeni adım, gelişmekte olan bir küratöre, The Green Lotus başvurularından ön elemeyi geçen projeler ile farklı yaklaşımlar üzerinden yeni, kolektif bir söylem kurma daveti sunuyor.
Seçilmiş olan küratör, bu başvurular arasından seçeceği sanatçılarla birlikte bir grup sergisi geliştirerek farklı bakış açıları arasında diyalog ve etkileşim alanları açacak. Sürece eşlik edecek rehberli mentorluk; yazım, araştırma ve sergi üretimini derinleştirerek The Green Lotus’u hem bir üretim alanı hem de bir öğrenme ekosistemi olarak güçlendirecek.
Böylece İkinci Çiçeklenme, adının anlamını yeniden buluyor. Düşünceler farklı biçimlerde olgunlaşıyor, üretim alanları kesişiyor ve sanatsal pratik ile küratöryel düşünce, farklı disiplinler arasında ortak bir zemin buluyor.
2025 Açık Çağrı
Bu yıl, gelişmekte olan sanatçıları Nelumbo Studios’un alanını on gün boyunca kendi vizyonları doğrultusunda, düşünsel ve biçimsel arayışlarını üretime dönüştürmeye davet ediyoruz. Sınırlarını genişletmekten çekinmeyen, mevcut anlatı biçimlerini sorgulayan ve gelişen yaratıcı topluluğumuza özgün bakış açılarıyla katkı sağlamak isteyen sanatçılara açık çağrımızdır.
The Green Lotus projesi hem bir platform hem de bir kuluçka alanı olarak, yeni sesleri görünür kılmayı, sanatsal dönüşüm için gerekli zamanı, alanı ve cesareti sunmayı amaçlıyor.
Kırılganlığın taşıdığı güce, deneyselliğin dönüştürücü etkisine ve sanatçılara bütünsel bir keşif ortamı sunulduğunda ortaya çıkan özgün üretimlerin potansiyeline inanıyoruz.
Şubat 2026: Gelişmekte Olan Sanatçı, Gelişmekte Olan Vizyon
Şubat ayından itibaren Nelumbo Studios’da, seçilen dört sanatçı mekânı kendi sanatsal vizyonlarına göre ele geçirerek her biri on gün boyunca süren sergilerini gerçekleştirecekler. Bu art arda gelen sergiler, Nisan ayına kadar devam ederek farklı fikirler, yaklaşımlar ve ifadelerle dolu kesintisiz bir diyalog yaratacak. Her sanatçı, kendi dünyasını kurarken çağdaş sanatın olası yönelimleri üzerine süregelen ortak düşünme alanına katkı sunacak.
Gelişmekte Olan Küratör sergisi, sezonun ilerleyen döneminde bu geniş üretim alanındaki farklı yönelimleri bir araya getirir; solo sergilere düşünsel bir karşılık sunarak The Green Lotus’un yeni ve öngörülmeyen biçimlerde gelişimini sürdürecek.
PROJE HAKKINDA
The Green Lotus, Nelumbo Studios'un gelişmekte olan ve yeni mezun sanatçılara platform sunduğu yıllık programdır. İlk kez 2025'te hayata geçirdiğimiz bu programda, Şubat-Nisan 2026 döneminde 4 sanatçıya kişisel sergi fırsatı sunuyoruz.
Program, yalnızca bir sergi mekanı sunmanın ötesine geçerek; küratöryel mentorluk, profesyonel arşivleme ve sanat ekosistemine giriş konusunda kapsamlı bir destek sistemi oluşturmayı amaçlamaktadır.

Satış ve Temsil
Sergi süreci boyunca ve sonrasında, profesyonel fotoğraf çekimleri, basın iletişimi ve kapsamlı tanıtım çalışmaları Nelumbo Studios tarafından yürütülür. Sergi bitiminin ardından altı ay süreyle, sanatçının eserlerinin satış ve temsil hakları Nelumbo Studios bünyesinde devam eder. Bu süreçte:

JÜRİ / JURY
Barış Çakmakçı
Barış Çakmakçı, İstanbul merkezli bir kültür stratejisti, editör, gazeteci ve serbest metin yazarıdır. Sosyoloji lisans eğitimi ile Sanat ve Tasarım yüksek lisansını birleştirerek kültür, tarih ve yenilik arasındaki kesişimleri yaratıcı endüstriler bağlamında inceler. Resim ve Heykel Müzeleri Derneği yönetim kurulu üyesidir.
Barış Çakmakçı is a cultural strategist, editor, journalist, and freelance copywriter based in Istanbul. He combines a BA in Sociology with an MA in Art & Design to explore the intersections of culture, history, and innovation across the creative industries. He is a board member of the Association of Painting and Sculpture Museums (Resim ve Heykel Müzeleri Derneği).
Murat Görgülü
Murat Görgülü, hekim, koleksiyoner, sanat tarihi meraklısı ve modern Türk sanatının takipçisidir. İstanbul’da çalışmakta olup Resim ve Heykel Müzeleri Derneği danışma kurulu üyesidir.
Murat Görgülü is a medical doctor, collector, art history enthusiast and follower of modern Turkish art. He works in Istanbul and he is a member of the advisory board of the Painting and Sculpture museum association.
Yasemin Green
Yasemin Green, Antalya merkezli bağımsız bir küratör, sanatçı ve deneyim tasarımcısıdır. Lisans eğitimini Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi İç Mimarlık bölümünde tamamlamış, ardından Londra Sanat Üniversitesi’nde (UAL) küratörlük ve çağdaş sanat alanında eğitim almıştır. Sanatçı inisiyatifi Collectors’ın kurucusudur ve on yılı aşkın süredir bu alanda çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.
Yasemin Green is an independent curator, artist and experience designer based in Antalya. She completed her undergraduate studies in interior architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and further education in curating and contemporary arts at the University of the Arts London (UAL). She is the founder of an artist-led organisation known as Collectors', and has contributed to the field for more than a decade.

The Green Lotus: Second Bloom
An emerging artist development program by Nelumbo Studios
The Green Lotus returns with renewed energy and an open invitation to the next generation of creative voices. This program continues to nurture artistic growth, offering emerging artists an opportunity to fully inhabit and transform our space with their vision. Like the lotus, we recognize the persistence and courage required of emerging artists navigating today's creative landscape. Nelumbo Studios offers freedom from traditional constraints, time to experiment, and support to push beyond expected boundaries.
With this Second Bloom, we extend the program's ecology by introducing a Young Curators program; an invitation for an emerging curator to build from what we've gathered by Green Lotus into a new, collective conversation. Drawing from proposals not realized as solo takeovers, the curator will develop a group exhibition that reframes "not selected" as "not yet," allowing strong ideas to resurface, connect, and resonate. Guided mentorship will accompany the process, deepening writing, research, and exhibition-making while affirming Green Lotus as both platform and learning ground. In this way, the Second Bloom becomes literal: ideas return in another form, and the ecosystem widens to include the curatorial voice alongside the artistic one.

We're looking for artists who are ready to take risks, challenge conventions, and bring their unique perspective to our growing creative ecosystem. The Green Lotus project is both platform and incubator, a commitment to amplifying fresh voices and providing the space and encouragement needed for artistic evolution. We believe in the power of vulnerability, the necessity of experimentation, and the brilliance that emerges when artists are given room to truly explore.
February 2026: Four Artists, Four Visions
This February, four selected artists will exhibit in the studio for ten days each, transforming it according to their artistic vision. These successive exhibitions will create a month of continuous dialogue, with different ideas, approaches, and expressions. Each artist builds their own world while contributing to a larger conversation about what contemporary art can become. Later in the season, the Young Curators exhibition gathers threads from this wider field, offering a resonant counterpoint to the solos and ensuring the Green Lotus continues to bloom in new, unexpected ways.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Green Lotus is Nelumbo Studios' annual program providing a platform for young and recent graduate artists. Following our inaugural edition in 2025, we are offering solo exhibition opportunities to 4 artists during the February-April 2026 period.
The program goes beyond merely offering exhibition space; it aims to establish a comprehensive support system including curatorial mentorship, professional catalogue preparation, and introduction to the art market.

Active art students

Our exhibition space has 12 meters of wall length and 3.5 meters of height. Please plan your works according to these dimensions.

CONDITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Artist Responsibilities:
Transportation of works to the venue is the artist's responsibility
Accuracy of the originality statement
Sales and Representation:
Throughout and after your exhibition, we conduct professional photography, press work, and comprehensive promotional activities.
For 6 months following the end of the exhibition, sales representation of your works belongs to Nelumbo Studios. During this process:
Artwork prices are determined together with the gallery
Gallery commission is 25% when a sale occurs
Your works continue to be displayed in the gallery's other spaces
Promotional and marketing activities continue
