Güliz Kayahan -  An'ı 

An’ı serisinin temel ürünü olarak eski fotoğrafları kullanıyorum. Bu fotoğraflardaki öğeleri farklı materyallerle resmediyor, bazen de çalışma üzerinde fotoğrafın kendisinden kesitler bırakıp bir kolaja dönüştürerek görsel ve duygusal olarak parçalanmalarını sağlıyorum. Amacım; unutulmuş fotoğrafların an’ı hapsetme özelliğiniyıkarak görselleri zamansızlaştırmak. Şimdi ve geçmiş arasındaki bağı zedeleyerek izleyiciyi zaman algımızı yeniden düşünmeye teşvik etmek istiyorum.


Moment to Memory 
In the series An, I use old photographs as the primary material. I reinterpret the elements within these photographs through different mediums, and at times I leave fragments of the original image within the work, transforming it into a collage and allowing it to fragment both visually and emotionally.
My intention is to dismantle the capacity of forgotten photographs to imprison the moment, rendering the images timeless. By destabilizing the connection between the present and the past, I aim to encourage the viewer to reconsider our perception of time.
