Nelumbo Studios

Founded in 2020 by Dilara Altınkepçe Arslan and Kerim Arslan, Nelumbo Studios is an artist-led production and exhibition space located in Kadıköy, Istanbul. Nelumbo provides a versatile venue for all kinds of alternative artistic pursuits, especially for emerging artists. The studio offers an interdisciplinary approach through both traditional and new media, including painting, sculpture, photography, music, and installation art.

Encounters and interactions shape this space, while the artist's perspective and creative process remain at its core. This approach strengthens communication between traditional and contemporary forms of expression, offering viewers a layered narrative. Named after the white lotus flower that blooms in the marsh, Nelumbo embraces conscious practices that do not harm any living being or phenomenon, in accordance with its ethos of respect for life.

Nelumbo Studios continues to operate as an open and flexible space for artistic production, prioritising conceptual thinking. The studio supports and promotes the artists it represents on an international stage while preserving their uniqueness.
