The work titled Dear Otherness, produced in 2015, can be briefly discussed in relation to its conceptual reference. It is inspired by the famous Porcupine Metaphor found in section 396 of German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer’s Parerga and Paralipomena, published in 1851. In the metaphor, porcupines approach one another to avoid freezing from the cold, yet eventually harm each other with their quills due to their proximity. In Dear Otherness, the frustration of this attempt at closeness is conveyed through claw-like forms with thorns extending onto the hands and wrists, symbolizing the impossibility of touch. The work attempts to visualize the tension between the desire for intimacy and the pain it may cause

2015 yılında üretilmiş Sevgili Ötekilik isimli çalışma kısaca ele alınabilir. Çalışmada Alman filozof Arthur Schopenhauer’in 1851’de yayınladığı Kısa Felsefi Denemeler adlı eserinin 396. bölümündeki meşhur Kirpi Metaforu’ndan esinlenilmiştir. Metaforda soğuktan 
donmamak için birbirlerine yaklaşan kirpiler bir süre sonra dikenleri ile birbirlerine 
zarar vermektedirler. Sevgili Ötekilik isimli çalışmada ise engellenen yaklaşma durumu, el ve bileklere geçen dikenli pençeler aracılığıyla dokunma eyleminin engellenmesi ile anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.
