Composed of 263 figures, Dark Descent explores how the processes of simplification and anonymization in the modern age blur the individual. The falling, bending, and drifting postures of the figures symbolize the human being lost within structures of their own making. This is not merely a physical collapse — it is emotional, social, and cultural disintegration. This installation focuses not only on the individual's isolation within modern society but also on the systemic madness and collapse of the entire social structure.

The chaotic arrangement of the figures is a microcosm of our current era: they are neither fully falling nor truly standing. The order, where private ownership and the desire to possess have turned into a form of captivity, weakens the bond between the individual and humanity. The figures in the work are not just falling — they are disconnecting: from each other, from space, from context...

Dark Descent reflects the chaotic effect caused by the transformation of ownership into imprisonment, and portrays a societal collapse in an age where our ties to empathy, compassion, and the essence of humanity are dissolving. With digital identities reduced to simplified forms, the low-polygon aesthetic of the descending figures symbolizes the erasure of the complexity and depth of human identity. In this process where the balance between nature and humanity is lost, and people become tightrope walkers trying to maintain equilibrium in a world of their own making, the figures fall into a void — an act that evokes not only a physical descent but also a moral and existential collapse.

Dark Descent is a silent scream about the damage private property inflicts on humans and society — a cry for a system where possessing ultimately means losing.

263 figürden oluşan Dark Descent modern çağın sadeleştirme ve anonimleştirme süreçlerinin bireyi nasıl silikleştirdiğini ele alıyor. Figürlerin düşen, bükülen, savrulan halleri; insanın kendi kurduğu yapılar içinde kayboluşunu simgeliyor. Bu sadece fiziksel bir çöküş değil — duygusal, sosyal ve kültürel bir çözülme. Bu yerleştirme, yalnızca bireyin modern toplumdaki yalnızlığına değil; toplumsal yapının bütünündeki sistemsel delilik ve çöküş haline odaklanıyor.

Figürlerin kaotik düzeni, tam da içinde yaşadığımız çağın bir mikrokozmosu gibi: Ne tam düşüyor, ne tam ayakta durabiliyorlar. Özel mülkiyetin ve sahip olma arzusunun, aslında bir tutsaklığa dönüştüğü bu düzen; birey ile insanlık arasındaki bağı zayıflatıyor. Eserdeki figürler, yalnızca düşmüyorlar — kopuyorlar, birbirlerinden, mekândan, bağlamdan...

Dark Descent, özel mülkiyet kavramının sahipliği bir tutsaklığa dönüştürmesinin yarattığı kaotik etkiyi yansıtır ve empatiye, merhamete ve insanlığın özüne bağlarımızın eridiği bir çağda toplumsal çöküşü betimler. Dijital dünyanın kimliklerimizi basitleştirilmiş formlara indirgemesiyle, Dark Descent'te alçalmakta olan figürlerin düşük poligon estetiği, insan kimliğinin karmaşıklığının ve derinliğinin yok oluşunu simgeler. Doğa ile insan arasındaki dengenin kaybolduğu, insanların kendi yarattıkları dünyada dengeyi korumaya çalışan cambazlara dönüştüğü bu süreçte figürler boşluğa düşer; bu yalnızca fiziksel bir inişi değil, aynı zamanda ahlaki ve varoluşsal bir çöküşü de çağrıştırır ve izleyiciyi, insanlığın kendi yarattığı enkazın ortasında özünü bulma mücadelesinin rahatsız edici gerçeğiyle yüzleşmeye zorlar.
