Qualia'nın Tahtı / Qualia's Throne

This work is a throne made of iron and composed of spinal forms that I frequently use in my artworks. Its title is "The Throne of Qualia."
Qualia are the subjective, individual, and directly experienced qualities of a sensation. These qualities cannot be felt by anyone else. Similarly, a work of art can never fully convey the inner world of the artist.
At the same time, the viewer’s interaction with the artwork is also individual—making it a true example of qualia.
In this work, the throne traditionally a symbol of power is used to celebrate individuality and to invite the viewer to take pleasure in that uniqueness.
Through the direct relationship established with the artwork, this piece also aims to add a new layer to the concept of qualia.

Bu eser, eserlerimde kullandığım omurga formlarından oluşmuş üzerine oturulabilir, demirden bir tahttır. Eserin ismi “Qualianın Tahtı” olarak belirlenmiştir. Qualia, bir deneyimin öznel, bireysel ve doğrudan yaşanan nitelikleridir. Bu nitelikler bir başkası tarafından hissedilemezler. Bir sanat eseri de sanatçının iç dünyasını asla tam olarak hissetmeye olanak sağlayamaz. Bir adım sonrasında izleyicinin sanat eseri ile kurduğu ilişkide bireyseldir ve tam bir qualia örneğidir. Bu çalışmada bir iktidar sembolü olan taht ile bireyselliğin yüceltilmesi amaçlanmış ve bu bireyselliğin keyfinin çıkarılması hedeflenmiştir. Aynı zamanda sanat eseri ile kurulan doğrudan bir ilişki ile sanat eseri üzerinden qualia kavramına yeni bir katman eklenmesi hedeflenmiştir.
